In August 2021, QAICL was acquired by Amtivo Group, the owner of British Assessment Bureau (BAB), the UK's fastest-growing certification body. Over the next few months, the UK-based clients of ACM will come together under the BAB brand in the UK. The combined strengths of both businesses will complement one another to deliver an improved experience for all of our clients, both existing and new.
We have provided below further information to help QAICL (UK) clients to understand more about the changes and how this acquisition will affect them and their business. QAICL's International clients will be contacted separately.
Q: I am a new client and have an audit booked. How will this impact me and my business?
A: If you have an audit booked or due on or before 30th November your audit will be performed by QAICL in the usual way. If your audit is booked or due on or after 1st December then it will be conducted as a BAB audit, but where possible it will be conducted by your existing QAICL Auditor.
Q: I am an existing client and have a surveillance visit booked. How will this impact me and my business?
A: If you have a surveillance audit booked or due on or before 30th November your audit will be performed by QAICL in the usual way. If your surveillance audit is booked or due on or after 1st December then it will be conducted as a BAB audit, but where possible it will be conducted by your existing QAICL Auditor.
Q: I am an existing client – will my certificate be re-issued under the BAB brand?
A: Unless you tell us otherwise, by 1st November we will prepare to transfer your certificates to BAB and you will receive a replacement e-certificate in the British Assessment Bureau branding by the end of December 2021.
Q: My website and marketing materials feature the QAICL certificate and branding – do I need to change these over?
A: It’s important that any references to your certification are updated to reflect the appropriate certification body. Therefore, once the transfer completes we will contact you and provide further information. We will provide you with digital copies of your certificate and BAB-branded assets to use online. Should you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact us.
Q: What if I do not want to transfer to BAB?
A: Unless you notify us by 1st November we will transfer your certificate(s) to BAB. You can, of course, transfer to another certification body at any time.
Q: Will your prices change?
A: We do not have plans to change the standard pricing for the services you currently receive. In time, we may offer you alternative services to complement those you currently receive, however you should continue to enjoy the same services and pricing for the foreseeable future.
Q: Will you be offering any additional standards or services?
A: British Assessment Bureau is a growing and ambitious brand, committed to supporting our customers’ needs. We are therefore constantly monitoring the market and obtaining feedback from our customers in order to identify the most appropriate services to offer. If there are services that we do not offer, but you would like us to offer, do please let us know.
Q: Will there be any additional costs for the transition from QAICL to BAB?
A: There will be no additional costs associated with your transition from QAICL to BAB.
Q: Will my auditor change?
A: We are keen to maintain, as much as possible, all of your existing infrastructure and contacts. Therefore, except in exceptional circumstances, or where it suits both parties, you will be able to continue working with your existing auditor.
Q: Who do I contact for surveillance or Scope extension?
A: You will contact the same team as you do currently.
Q: Where should we send written communications and cheques?
A: Please send all written communications to our Registered Office address: 30 Tower View, Kings Hill, Kent ME19 4UY.
Q: Will our QAICL certificate still be valid if it doesn’t run out until next year?
A: Your QAICL certificate will be replaced with a certificate issued by BAB which will have the same expiry date as your current certificate.
